Can't believe that it has taken me 58 years to get to Majorca. I must admit I thought it would be just like Southend-on-Sea but with more sun and more egg and chips. I had low expectations, probably after hearing a horror story in my youth of a collapsing balcony and an unfinished hotel. I was pleasantly surprised and even managed to see some culture in the form of a walled city. The only issue was the weather, not really warm enough to swim in the sea but I braved the empty beach on my last morning and splashed happily for 20 minutes, more like extreme paddling than wild swimming. When did it even become wild swimming as opposed to just swimming? There were lots of towels around the pool every day and not all were accompanied by people but luckily I was early enough to claim a spot and catch some rays. A thoroughly pleasant few days and I will definitely be using Sleazy Jet from Southend to get here again in the not too distant future.

And how was the water in Majorca?
